Hello, In a forum post at http://www.power.org/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=413#413 a developer complains, that he was unable to compile his project on SUSE Linux OSS 10.0 PPC, and also unable to compile GCC. I gave some answer ( http://www.power.org/phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=414#414 ), but is there a detailed description, how GCC is compiled on SUSE Linux, what modifications, patches are used, etc.? Bye,
Its all in the RPM ;) For 10.0 we mostly use the native version and have no specific powerpc patches. Regarding this forum post, as far as I understand he is trying to compile MICO which crashes gcc, right? Suggestion is of course to open a bugreport for this in our bugzilla. If he can reproduce the crash with a specific sourcefile, he should run the same command with --save-temps and attach the preprocessed file (something.ii) to the bugreport. Ciao, Marcus
