It puts it under root because you were root when you ran it (bad idea, don't log in as root). I do *not* run as root. but the file was in /tmp, so i used Konqueror as su. and that led to the problem...
You have a trashcan icon on your desktop, right click on it and select "empty trash" to really delete Yup. do it all the time. but it is useless if one deletes as an su, correct?
