My son gets DSL from Verizon in the next couple of days. I have to do the setup........is it just a matter of installing the hardware and then auto-DNS to the NIC?
Should be. My mom has Verizon DSL with 9.2 on a wired connection to the router/modem. I just turned on the modem, plugged everything in and configured SuSE in YaST to do DNS. I ignored the Wintendo CD they sent. The only issue she has - which I don't with my provider (DSL Extreme - static IP) - is that her network doesn't seem to get a DNS lease for a few minutes. However, she usually leaves her system on 24/7 and I think she only reboots a few times a month, so it isn't a great problem. -- kai ponte www.perfectreign.com linux - genuine windows replacement part
