After enabling raid1 in the bios, creating an array, and creating a logical drive in the array (230 gig) suse installation does NOT see a harddisk. That would suggest lack of the proper driver for the RAID controller.
What controller is it using (IDE, SCSI)? If it is the same as the controller in the ML330 G3 (IDE) you are out of luck.
The OP mentioned ICH6 ? Some SATA RAID controller. Anyway, HP seems to supply a binary only driver package. If it was me, I give that a go and see if I could somehow shoehorn it into my 9.3 or 10.0 system. /Per Jessen, Zürich -- http://www.spamchek.com/ - managed anti-spam and anti-virus solution.
