Hello, i use SuSE 10 on some Opteron machines. Everything works fine until i changed the password management from local passwd to to winbind. The login works, but i have problems with the .Xauhtority file. If a user logs in and the file does not exist, it will be created with the correct content and owner-settings. If now the user logs out and in again, there is a warning '.Xauthority' is not wrtiteable and it is not, because the owner is root and not the user. I have looked at it, and find out, if the ssh connection is closed (or better: if one, if there are more than one open), the ownership changes to root. I tried some things but nothing really helped. One interesting thing is, that on some Debian machines (2.6 and 2.4 Kernel) this problem does not occur. So, has anybody any suggests how i can fix this? Thanks in advance Fabian
