Running SuSE 10, fully patched, no extras like KDE 3.5, etc. on an IBM R52 laptop. Wireless works OK when in WEP mode, but no sucessful WPA-PSK connections yet. FWIW, this laptop dual-boots Win XP SP2, and WPA-PSK works fine with two tested access points. YaST appears to have settings for WPA-PSK, but KInternet only shows WEP keys when trying to initiate a connection.
From Googling, it looks like KInternet doesn't do WPA (at least in KDE 3.4), and the recommendations seem to be to disable KInternet and use YaST or various ifdown/ifup commands.
Does KInternet do WPA in KDE 3.5? I frequently switch between networks, so KInternet is a very convenient tool, and while I don't mind dropping to command line and running as root, I'd like not to if I don't have to. Any suggestione?
