I have used LDAP for authentication on my SuSE wks for a few years now, usually if I have a problem with 'id me', then it is usually an issue with connectivity (LDAP off-site) or an LDAP server issue, SuSE always the bomb for that. But now I cannot login, if I login as root and 'id me' I get a segmentation fault, with another user, it logs in, but I get the 'don't know who I am' message on the prompt in place of the user. Connectivity and the LDAP server are fine, but I was messing with the LDAP server yesterday upgrading from 2.2.29 to 2.2.30 and adding some indexes, nothing to do with my user entries at all, still there and still can query the entries out from the wks and see the obejectClass is there for posixAccount. Does anyone know the actual query SuSE uses so I can try it? And where does one think I should start for tracking down the issue? -- Robert
