Dear Ken Schneider,
It might seem a bit silly, but HOW ???
Your link is not there and it is a German language site.
I did originally ask the moerator how to do a post. Later I discovered you can do an e-mail to the list and it seems to get there.
I do find this list incredibly confusing and quite frankly I am on the point of unsubscribing as all it is doing is filling up my InBox with e-mails.
What I did want to do was to report the GRUB problem cq the HIDE command and now I have managed to get it in somewhere.
Having said that I am very much in favour of supporting the community and quite prepared to answer questions when I beleive I can actually say something of use.
So please, what is the proper way of doing this?
Regards,
Pim Dennendal,
Add your reply under the part -you- are replying to. If there are other parts of the email that -your- reply does not pertain to delete it. Do you read books from back to front? I think not. Adding your part -after- the OP's question makes it easier for others to follow the conversation and makes it easier to read in the archives. Only reply to the list unless asked otherwise. The link I sent must have been taken down as it used to be valid and was in english even though it is on a german site. This list can generate over 150 emails a day, it is a high volume list. Never reply to an email from the list and simply change the subject to ask your own question as this list employs threading and you will get a few nasty replies stating you are breaking a thread. Feel free to help others. I try to as my way of supporting the community for all that I get from using linux. There really is not list moderator, but there is a list owner that is responsible for making sure the list is up and running. There are also Novell employees subscribed to this list but do not ask a question directly to them as they only reply on their own time when they have time to do so.
