Hi All, I am attempting to install osCommerce on SuSE 10. I have never had a problem in the past.
I just installed it on 10.0 and it was the simplest installation I've seen so far of a web application of any complexity
Anyway suffice it to say, this is not going well. The problem appears to be being caused by PHP, possibly permissions. The Apache is working OK and the PHP is working, but osCommerce is not an it fails with the following remarks:-
# --------------------------------------------------------------------- Warning: main(includes/functions/general.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /srv/www/htdocs/catalog/install/includes/application.php on line 22
Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'includes/functions/general.php' (include_path='/usr/share/php') in /srv/www/htdocs/catalog/install/includes/application.php on line 22
What is the include_path set to in /etc/php.ini, you generally need to have . included in that. Perhaps you have safe_mode = On in that ini file?
