Except if you are trying to do stuff across a number of boxes (4/5) each needing 2 ssh sessions, 10 xterms would be a nightmare as opposed to gnometerminal or konsole which keep things tidy and manageable all on one screen.
There are programs that work much better on an xterm than on gnome-terminal or konsole - for instance, Pine. Other, like 'mc', whose "F10" key for exit is captured by the gnome-terminal and interpreted to show the terminal menu instead. - -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.0 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Made with pgp4pine 1.76 iD8DBQFDaNaotTMYHG2NR9URAu4mAJkB8Budaay6R+ghre8ldxDWY1CgngCggYCq +U7JN0mEDMqmy7AwRuxMp4g= =4r3m -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
