Besides, I didn't say "first computer", I said "first digital computer". I believe the first "computers" were designed by Pascal (automatic adding machine) and Leibniz (automatic multiplying machine) in the 1600s and 1700s respectively. The first computer that was somewhat general purpose was probably the analytical engine of Charles Babbage in the 1800s Try BCE long before Blaise Pascal and Charles Babbage.
