Hope you guys out there can help me with this one:
My SuSE 10 installation by default chose a partition size of 2.5 GB, but now it appears that I really needed a partition size of approx 6.0 GB, as at the moment it shows only 11 % free (269.2 MB).
Since I have bags of disk space available I would like to resize my linux partition to 6.0 GB.
No need to resize the partition, just make a new partition and map it into the directory structure. For example, create a 6 Gb partition and use it as /home Yast partition manager makes it all a breeze. If you feeling adventurous and don't mind reading up about it, one of the most flexible ways of using disk space is use the LVM system. Keep your 6Gb partition and then create a 60Gb volume group and divide it up into whatever you need and resize it things on the fly. But you will have to google and read a bit for that one....
