Hi guys,
Subject says it all. Has anyone managed to compile MPlayer in SUSE 10.0? MPlayer makes quite a noise about not supporting gcc4
Any hints would be welcome. If I manage it I'm happy to upload resulting rpms to somewhere where everybody can benifit.
Thanks Hans
There is a serious bug in gcc 4.0.0 so a lot of developers added the __GNUC_ directive into their code of config scripts and barf if it's *that* compiler. 4.0.1 is recommended as stepping back in versionnumbers is usually "not done". I compiled KDevelop two months ago with 4.0.1 for the same reasons and things went well. -- Peter M.
