Novell Cool Solutions Tip: Packages on the retail version and not the OSS version of SUSE Linux 10.0 http://www.novell.com/coolsolutions/tip/16015.html
[Excerpt] "There are two versions of SUSE Linux 10.0. One is the retail (box purchase) version known as SUSE Linux 10.0, and the other is the free downloadable version, which is known as SUSE Linux OSS 10.0. The retail version can contain closed source packages. Since OSS stands for Open Source Software, the OSS version does not contain closed source software." [/Excerpt] Note: This page contains what looks to be a complete listing of the retail only packages.
And, finally, an excerpt from the directory listing of: (use mirror - slow!) http://ftp.opensuse.org/pub/opensuse/distribution/SL-10.0-OSS/inst-source/su...

Took me a long time to figure out, but I think I have got it now. 1) Many of the mirrors are incomplete, this includes the one on mirrors.kernel.org 2) Many packages that have nothing to do with Java are in the inst-source-java directory For install sources that work well for me, and make sure you have both: ftp://suse.mirrors.tds.net/pub/opensuse/distribution/SL-10.0-OSS/inst-source/ ftp://suse.mirrors.tds.net/pub/opensuse/distribution/SL-10.0-OSS/inst-source-java/ as well as the packman site. Hope this help, James
