I recommend all of you how r trying to update you computers or install postgres to do it from this source: add: http server name: ftp.leo.org directory: mirrors/opensuse/distribution/SL-10.0-OSS/inst-source/ I did update my system yesterday and did installed postgres from this source... So you don't have to tell it to use FTP if it's an FTP site? I always specify HTTP or FTP, depending on the type of site, but maybe that's not really required (maybe you can do HTTP from an FTP site and not vice versa?).
