I'm running SuSE 10.0 Pro (not opensuse) and I want to install the rpms for OpenOffice2.0 now that I have downloaded them. How can I install them all at once as a group? It was easy with 9.3 because I would just use Red Carpet (Zenworks, or whatever they're calling it) and it had a handy "Install from file" feature that would allow me to select multiple rpms and install them in one run. Is there another way that I can do that in 10.0 now that they have excluded red carpet/zenworks?
The easiest is opening a terminal window, becoming root, and using rpm -Uvh *.rpm
You can also use yast: in Konqueror richt-click on the directory where your rpm's are, and choose: action > add directory to yast source. You can then use yast install software. You can also select multiple rpm files, right-click and choose actions > install with yast. Fx
