I would only use System Update for the initial move from from one version of SUSE to another as it will want to install what ever version are present on the install medium. I've never used it prefering just to boot from the DVD/CD and do the install/upgrade from there. If you just want to update your existing programs I would use 'Software Management' instead. Pick 'Package Groups' as the filter the select 'zzz All' from the bottom of the list. Finally from the Package Menu select 'All In This List' / 'Update if newer version available'. Then click Accept to install any updates (which will be coloured blue in the list) You will need to add installation sources like Packman before you see many changes though. _______________________________________________ Join Excite! - http://www.excite.com The most personalized portal on the Web!
