what i wanted is for a specific client (based on mac
address) to get a specific ip address everytime it
request for an ip address from the dhcp server.

I'm not sure I understand your question. Are you talking about assigning a specific lease length using the DHCP server for clients you provide addresses for. Or are you trying to get your client to use a certain leases of a certain length?
