I run into problems on trying to install SuSE 10.0 - both Vendor DVD or CD1 as well as SUSE-10.0-CD-OSS-i386-GM-CD1.iso.

No difference if I try a regular install, failsafe, or ACPI disabled, the minikernel is loaded and starts to boot up to "searching for info file".
The last kernel message is...
Assertion failed! qc->flags & ATA_QCLFAG_ACTIVE, drivers/scsi/libata-core.c,ata_qc_complete,line=3218
Obviously the scsi driver is unhappy...
A screenshot (digital camera) of the kernel messages is at ...

Could you please file a bugreport on bugzilla.novell.com and attach additional info there? (And please have a look at bugs.opensuse.org first...) Regards Christoph
