Kpowersave and plug & battery icon

I was having trouble suspending my computer and I thought there might be a conflict with the kpowersave applet I added when I installed the Super RC1 CD install. I removed kpowersave and installed the update, now the battery monitor doesn't appear, and for some reason the kpowersave package is no longer available. Has anyone else experienced something similar?
