I am lost trying to figure out how to run acctcom under SUSE. I have installed the accounting package and turned on acct (rcacct start). I can see the /usr/account/pacct file being created. I can issue the lastcomm command and it works. However, I can't seem to find the acctcom command. I am after the "acctcom -timv -S 11:00:00 -E 11:10:00" results. I found "snupi" and installed it. Made it work under SUSE, yet, it provides the same information I already have (was hoping that its acctcom replacement would provide the same information as acctcom but it does not). I google over the linux realm looking for the acctcom source to no avail. What I am looking for is the following information provided by acctcom: command + uid + tty + start.time + end.time + real.secs + cpu.secs + mean.size.k. The nice features of acctcom are its switches (eg timv). Considering that SUSE is targeting commercial accounts, it seems to me that accounting is very important. don't you agree? any suggestions will be welcome.
