If you were trying to use Windoze then you needed that CD with the software. Same as with this new Samsung that Marc and I have. But with SuSE you don't
so even with the new one you can't use without the CD? yuck!
The YP-T7Z is a USB mass-storage device so it will work in any modern OS that supports USB mass-storage. Newer Linux distros have it native, so does Mac and WinXP. Some older versions of windows do not so you have to use the CD that comes with the player for those OSes. I don't know if all Samsung flash players are treated as mass-storage but the YP-T7Z is and works very well. Plug it in, it appears as a flash drive, drag and drop your files. That's it. Very cool. -- Marc Christensen http://blog.mecworks.com
