I've searched on GOOGLE, but I got very few resluts.
There is one guy had exactly the same problem.

I need your help! I just installed SUSE 9.3 on my desktop (P4 2.0GHz, HD 60G, WinXP). but after I reboot the system, I got an error msg at the left bottom of login screen:
Aug 15 15:41:06 linux kernel: ACPI-0484: Aug 15 15:42:02 linux kernel: waning : Error getting cpuindex for acpiid 0x1
end_request:I/O error, dec fd0, sector 0 I gave my username and pass, but the system hanged up. I tried to boot into Winxp and it had no problem. SUSE 9.3 safemode also worked.
What could be wrong? any tips?
