I've been trying to update my SuSE 9.2 box to a newer version of KDE. I went into Yast and attempted to add an installation source that points to ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/x86_64/supplementary/KDE/update_for_9.2/base/. I put ftp.suse.com in the Server field and /pub/suse/x86_64/supplementary/KDE/update_for_9.2/base in the Directory field. When I click OK, it thinks for a while and then returns a message box containing the error "Unable to create installation source from URL 'ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/x86_64/supplementary/KDE/update_for_9.2/base/' . Details: ERROR(InstSrc:E_no_instsrc_on_media) Try again?
What am I doing wrong?
You shouldn't use the 'base' directory, you should use the 'yast-source' directory as yast source. That will get you all the packages in the other directories under 'update_for_9.2'
