Hello everyone: When I use K-mail and include an attachment, that attachment shows up as an icon and, when highlighted, can be 'opened' or 'saved' to another location. However, the attachment does not arrive already OPEN in the body of the K-mail e-mail. Attaching files under Thunderbird is a different story. If I'm sending photos of me winning a prize in literature (for example :-) ), the photo is already open when the recipient opens the e-mail. While some may see this feature as convenient, I, for one, would prefer a method more like the K-mail system, a small icon that the recipient can either open or save to another location. Is such a feature available in Thunderbird? And, if so, how does one activate it? As always, any help greatly appreciated. Cheers, Mike
An attachment is an attachment is an attachment. How they're shown is usually a feature in the receiving client, not the sending. Could it be that you're creating HTML email in thunderbird while sending regular email in kmail? Have you tried sending the same email + attachment in both kmail and thunderbird and looked at the differences?
