Hello everybody: Where is the suggestion box? I have a couple of suggestions for future versions: 1) FWBuilder. FWBuilder is a GUI that generates IPTable scripts. It's interface is among the best that can be had anywhere, at any price. Additionally, it provides a command line interface which would allow someone to interface it with yast. What I envision is 3 diferent methods of usage: First would be to implemented the current SuSEFirewall2 definitions via fwbuilder command line. This would allow for backward compatibility, and a smooth transition from susefirewall2 to next step. Second (guess susefirewall3?) would be a firewall definition (with yast2 module) that took advantage of fwbuilder's logical groups. Such a firewall would consist of the firewall rules: - Allow Services in Internet2Server group from internet to server. - Allow Services in Internal2Internet group as outgoing from local network. - Allow Services in Server2Internet group from server. - Allow Services in Internal2Server group from internal network to server. The susefirewall3 module would then need to allow services to be added removed from these groups. Thirdly, if the SuSEfirewall 3 module is not flexible enough you can (Install?) run fwbuilder, load the Susefirewall2 or Susefirewall3 definitions and add your own specifics. This would allow for a smooth transition from simple to complex firewall handling that IMHO would be unique and advantages to all. 2) My second suggestion is Kolab2. I would really like to see it running on SuSE, and now that it is Open maybe we can get some help from the Kolab people themselves in supporting it?
