Last December I posted a message on this list indicating that the following command started to fail after a kernel upgrade: mtst -f /dev/nst0 tell /dev/nst0: Inappropriate ioctl for device There was no discussion about this in the list, but I did get a personal reply a month or two later asking if I was able to resolve the problem. (I was not). I have since upgraded to SuSE 9.3 and the problem is now resolved. I lost track of the name and email address of my correspondent so can't send the good news personally. Perhaps she will see this note!
