I'm using SuSE 9.1 and kmymoney 0.6.4 which I downloaded from the SuSE site in RPM format. (kmymoney-0.6.4-1.SuSE91.i586.rpm) Installed with YaST. I also have an update from the kymoney site that I have not installed yet. It is tar format. If you are seeing dependences you need to install them first.
I don't think, that SUSE used to tag their rpms as ...SuSE91.i586.rpm and probably you just downloaded that from _another_ source/site (suser-guru?). I guess, that you know about the risk third party rpms could cause your system. If you are new even for the rpm-related stuff, probably you wish to stay first with the binaries on your install-media and YOUpdate mirrors. The tar.bz2/tar.gz archives most likely you have to first compile and then install. For that you would need likely additional (e.g. *-devel) rpm packages installed on your system. I'm not sure, that any of the source tarballs tell you anything about needed dependencies... Pelibali
