I'm having trouble with SUSE 9.2 pro 64 bit. I'm using the latest version of the NVIDIA drivers from YOU. The problem is that if I enable 3D acceleration, when I restart X, I get a blank screen. The light on the monitor stays green, so some kind of signal is reaching the monitor. Alt+Enter doesn't do anything. Ctrl+Alt+Del doesn't restart the system. If I try to switch to the console (Ctrl+Alt+F2), it still doesn't do anything. I've tried logging in as root (even though I can't see anything on screen) and rebooting the system (shutdown -r now), but it doesn't work. The only way I can get back into X is by rebooting to Failsafe mode, running YAST and disabling 3d. I've had it working before, but I'd run into this problem sporadically. Now it does it all the time. I don't know if it matters, but I have two GeForce 6800 GTs (SLI system). Any suggestions? Yippee38 ____________________________________________________ Yahoo!
