Hi, I'm trying to build a PVR using a Pundit-R, the hauppauge pvr-350 and SuSE 9.3 The card can tune channels, the remote works, but I can't use the tvout. The card is well supported through the ivtv driver, although it's not supported by SuSE, they provide the rpm packages. To enable the tvout function of my pvr-350 I need to load a kernel module named "saa7127" with some parameters. The problems is that some parameters doesn't work. For example: List of supported parameters: gardenia:~ # modinfo saa7127 filename: /lib/modules/2.6.11.4-20a-default/extra/saa7127.ko description: Philips SAA7127 video encoder driver author: Roy Bulter license: GPL vermagic: 2.6.11.4-20a-default 586 REGPARM gcc-3.3 depends: i2c-core srcversion: 4E514F920A6EE78E468B895 parm: test_image:test_image (0-1) (int) parm: debug:debug level (0-2) (int) parm: force:List of adapter, address pairs to boldly assume to be present (array of short) parm: ignore_range:List of adapter,start-addr,end-addr triples not to scan (array of short) parm: ignore:List of adapter, address pairs not to scan (array of short) parm: probe_range:List of adapter,start-addr,end-addr triples to scan additionally (array of short) parm: probe:List of adapter, address pairs to scan additionally (array of short) parm: i2c_enable:which 150/350 cards to activate the saa7127, conflicts with cx25840 or pvr150 (1-8i) Loading the module without parameters works: modprobe saa7127 But loading the module with the test_image as parm fails: gardenia:~ # modprobe saa7127 test_image=1 FATAL: Error inserting saa7127 (/lib/modules/2.6.11.4-20a-default/extra/saa7127.ko): Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg) In dmesg: saa7127: unsupported module, tainting kernel. saa7127: Unknown parameter `test_image' saa7127: Ignoring new-style parameters in presence of obsolete ones load_module: err 0xfffffffe (dont worry) Why if the parameter is correct the module can't be loaded? Can someone try to load it with the same parameter and see if it loads correctly? Has anyone configured mythtv with suse 9.3? Thanks! -- Oscar Curero - Linux user: 306877 -- GPG keyID: 0xE0EA0B24 --
