As a rule you should use only letters for column names
I would have named it hasEmail for example it is
longer but it carries the meaning well and you got no
weird problems from using different tools even
trasnferring the whole schema to a different db engine
that does not support the ` tics as the escape
characters.

Have you tried removing the "?" from the email field definition which per the info below reads "email?". I know you marking whether they have one or not but special characters are a bad practice in table names, because other programs and tools may not escape
