You will have to mount it manually, from a terminal.
I've checked the mounted partitions during the update from a terminal. /dev/hda3 was mounted at /mnt; /dev/hda5 was mounted at /mnt/usr. So this should be OK. But the update hangs at 6%. The system does not hang, I can change to a terminal and run commands. What should I check? Thanks, IG
I had all kinds of trouble upgrading, on the XP3000+ 64-bit laptop it started working after many attempts, don't know why. On this XP3000+ box, it just wouldn't work and I had to do a manual install without reformatting the partitions. On the P-II/333 laptop a fresh install worked. Recently a bad motherboard wrecked my hard drive, so I had to do a fresh install and it went through OK, my guess is that 9.1 to 9.2 upgrades can be a big problem. When 9.3 arrives, I'm going to clone my 9.2 drive for safety and try the upgrade on the cloned drive. If I have problems, I have my good 9.2 available and I can do a fresh install of 9.3 perhaps first as an install without reformatting the cloned drive. Regards Sid. -- Sid Boyce ...
