I seem to be having a problem with sudoers. I'm trying to set it up, so that root commands in /usr/local/bin, can be run by a specified user. When I have the line "jknott ALL=NOPASSWD:/usr/local/bin", in sudoers, I get asked for the root password, instead of my own. Once I have entered it, I can then run any sudo command, without having to enter the root password again. According to the sudoer man page, I should be able to have an entry, such as "jknott = NOPASSWD: /usr/local/bin", but visudo gives an error with that entry.
I'm running SuSE 9.2. The permissions on sudo are -rwsr-xr-x 1 root root 86656 Oct 2 2004 /usr/bin/sudo
Any ideas?

To follow up on this, I have created a directory /usr/local/bin/sudo, to which I have given myself sudo access on all files. Now, if there's a root command, which I want to be able to run as a user, I can simply create a symlink from here, to the original command. jk
