I am using the ldap server thats on suse 9.1 cd's. I am using the magration tools to create my ldif files. I read that you must use inetOrgPerson.
add one structural objectclass, and only one, to all the ldap entries.
Do i add objectClass: inetOrgPerson to all the ldif files?
Thanks

Hi All,
I am trying to setup a ldap server. I greated a
group.ldif
file with the following command:
./migrate_group.pl /etc/group > group.ldif
I add it to ldap with the following:
ldapadd -W -x -D "cn=Manager,dc=domain,dc=net" -f group.ldif
I recieve the following error:
adding new entry "cn=root,ou=Group,dc=domain,dc=net" ldapadd: update failed: cn=root,ou=Group,dc=domain,dc=net ldap_add: Object class violation (65) additional info: no structural object class provided
What is causing this to happen?
what ldap server and version are you using???
The most common problem is migrate_group.pl generating an
output for an very old ldap server and newest versions are more strict with entries.
How do i fix it?
add one structural objectclass, and only one, to all the ldap entries.
