Hello all! I have this PERL script a kind soul helped me with, to "empty" a SD memorycard from my camera that gets automounted on insertion in the cardreader. I run it manually from commandline. It calculates the date, and numbers the destination directory sequentially eg. 050312.01) in case i have more runs/day. I would like to have a number showing how much there is to copy. I don't know how many files that are on the card from time to time, so it need to find out, and just throw me that sum. (And prefarably at the end tell me it did copy all files successfully. Anyone to point me in the right direction on how to find info or example code? Note: I am not a programmer at all.. I am a dabbling amateur when it comes to code. Especially PERL.
