Hi, Has anyone had success in getting Tomcat to run under a new 9.3 installation? When I try to start it, it fails (actually, sometimes "/etc/init.d/tomcat5 start" says "started" and sometimes it says "failed" but it always fails). According to the Tomcat logs, it cannot find the class org.apache.commons.digester.Digester. I can see via locate that the Jakarta-Commons JARs (and docs) are installed, but apparently for some reason the class-path being used by Tomcat does not refer to them (properly). I should say that I already corrected the problem with the symbolic links in the Java packages supplied in the distribution. There was a mix-up in which the symlinks used underscores where the actual target directories used dots. If anyone has solved this problem, I'd appreciate hearing how. I'd just as soon forego digging around in the Tomcat startup scripts, but I'll do it if I have to... Thanks in advance. Randall Schulz
