Hi
Thanks for all your help sofar.
I got the speed sorted by adding async in /etc/exports.
What i am uncertain of is that when the client loged into X
and opens terminal or basicaly any other app it will query
the ldap server asin you can see hard drive activity on the
ldap server. Is this because the clients home dir is on the
ldap server?
Thanks
Regards

Hi All,
I finally got LDAP working.
I am suing autofs to mount the users /home dir.
My problem is that it is extremely slow when the user
logs
in. I am exporting the home dir with nfs. I cannot believe that nfs is this slow. It takes 2 minutes for the user to log into X.
Is there away to speed things up?
