I caught wind of this based on another post, but I didn't understand why. I see that SuSE has released a bunch on KDE updates in the "supplementary" directory of their FTP servers. There are also a few updates in the "misc" directory. Does anyone here know why? Don't get me wrong; I think this is really cool. I just don't know what's triggered it. The post I read suggested their was a problem with KDE programs looking up host names, but I wouldn't think that ALL of those packages would need to be recompiled to fix that, so I don't know what's going on. I really wish that this would be the start of SuSE keeping their distro a little more current between releases, but I don't want to get my hopes up. I know that six months between releases isn't really that long, but things like beagle make me wonder: if it goes "gold" in a month, will SuSE repackage it and make it available in the supplementary updates? I'm really hoping so. Regards all, dk
