Hi, I'm using gnome. When in an application I click "save" or "open" (for example, Gimp), I see a "cute" little dialog: +------------------------------------ | Name .... | Save in folder ...home | | > browse for othe folders | > Select File Type (By Extension) | | [Help] [cancel] [Save] +------------------------------------ If I click "Browse for other folders", the dialog expands with two or three panels: "disks", "files" and "Preview". Notice I said "Disks", not "folders". This is Linux, the filesystem is one and only one; however, I'm seeing "Home", "Desktop", "Filesystem", "4.0 Hard Drive", "Zip Drive"... Windows style! Argh! :-/ How do I get back to the old, trusty, Linux style of seeing the filesystem tree on the left Pane? I do not want to see "disks". I do not know what is "4.0G Hard Drive". Hey, this is supposed to be Linux. This is "different". I do not want to be even reminded of "that other dominant system". -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson
