Hello, I'm curious if someone can solve this weird problem. I recently buyed a cheap PS/2 "Trust Multi Function Keyboard" (Item no. 13748) and guess what? Linux 2.6 (I tried different Kernels, Knoppix, SuSE 9.1 & 9.2) just doesn't seems to notice this keyboard. If I plugin my old keyboard and watch /var/log/messages I get something like Apr 28 02:04:43 wu kernel: input: AT Translated Set 2 keyboard on isa0060/serio0 if I try the same thing with the Trust keyboard nothing happens, it's like no keyboard is attached at all (although the orange LED is working so it has power). At boot time (BIOS or grub menu) the keyboard works with no problems but as soon as the kernel boots it strikes. I even testet it on my old computer with linux (2.4 though) and windows and there it worked too, so the keyboard seems ok. I always thought PS/2 is PS/2 and there should be no problems, since it's supported since a long time. Maybe I should test on this machine with Windows too, but before I go this far I like to know if someone has an Idea. I'ts not a serious problem since it's a cheap keyboard but it would be a pity to throw away a new functional keyboard and I think it should work under Linux, or not? Sincerely David
