SuSEconfig, it changes the permission back to 0755. So i have to change back to 4711 What should I do so whenever i run SuSEconfig, it wont change to 0755. Is there any problem if I give 4711 permission to /usr/bin/suidperl ?
Set them in /etc/permissions.local Ken, sorry with late reply, Thanks anyway.. :)
Do not change the permissions of /usr/bin/suidperl, but of /usr/bin/sperl5.8.x
The first is hardlinked to /usr/bin/perl, and setting setuid root will make any perl script setuid root ;) Marcus, here's when I ls -l linux-suse1:/usr/bin # ls -l /usr/bin/suidperl -rws--x--x 2 root root 1151486 Feb 5 19:34 /usr/bin/suidperl
I dont see any /usr/bin/sperl5.8.x. What should I do ? thanks, -- Arie Reynaldi Zanahar reymanx at gmail.com http://www.reynaldi.or.id
