Who knows drivers for this printer ? Could i connect it using another printer profile ?
Thank you ;)
Try www.linuxprinting.org to see if the printer is supported.

Laurent, I suspect, if you look closely, you'll find Dell's printers to be rebadged Lexmark printers and because of their oddities, few are supported. There are some Lexmark's that come with Linux drivers, but I've seldom heard anyone having great luck with those either. If the printer supports the HP PCL language, you can probably find a HP driver that will work, although you'll have to try several. If it's more related to the GDI printers, then hopefully you can take it back for a refund.
GDI printers rely on it's own special control sequences and will usually only run under the OS that drivers are supplied. That's taken from the SuSE manual. Dell at one time used HP for their printer supplier, but I guess they felt it was helping the competition too much. Problem with their change though is they have pretty much alienated other operating systems, other than Windows, from using the printers without a lot of trouble.
