Hi folks, After installing SLOX 4.1, I'm having trouble ridding pine password prompts for users. The message 'SECURITY PROBLEM : insecure server advertised AUTH=PLAIN.' is also seen but I'm hoping this will go away with the passwordless access(?) - I see that it is a well-known pine bug. I've tried numerous things from disabling RSH in .pinerc files to fiddling around with various things in 'ssh-command'. The relevant keys (public host keys, RSA and DSA) are on both the server and clients, and SSH access is fine without passwords. The pine version used is 4.62 with a NOSSL build (I want to tackle CA and SSL later on, and just get a basic mail service going for now). Can anyone point me in the right direction? Many TIA Maccy P.S. Does anyone know of a good xbiff type program for RedHat ? Since our change to SLOX and cyrus-IMAPD xbiff no longer works, as I suspect it cannot cope with the 'new' format.
