Yes they can. resize2fs resize_reiserfs Do NOT do this without a confirmed backup in place. I did it once and very nearly lost many gigs of data. Only a lot of tinkering and blind luck got my data back. I still don't know exactly what fixed it though. You live and learn. -- Steve Boddy
