Greets; For the last couple of days I been struggling to build a functional yast installation source server from my local ftp server. While this worked seamless prior to 9.1 I now get the same error all the time and regardless of what I do. The error message is as follows: File xxx not found on media Err: 11283:ERROR(Media:file not found) Using the; http://portal.suse.com/sdb/en/2004/02/yast_instsrc.html (and which worked in the past) all the neccessary files were created, edited as required as per instruction, added installation souce to yast, search for files which are displayed but the final step, the actual installation fails. Whats interesting is that when checking the yast required file structure on packmans ftp site (which is a functional yast source) the yast required files are slightly different in both number, content and layout which makes me think this instruction is now dated? Unless this is also a YOU source?? Just guess at this point. Any clues on how to sort this would be greatly appreciated as I would really like to get this one done. method: mkdir media.1 touch media.1/media touch content create_descr -d <dir name> - x /path/to/EXTRA_PROV ls -A1 > directory.yast vi media.1/media vi content rcpureftp-d restart install new yast installation source <-- this takes, no problem search for files - finds files check off for installation start install >>>> error message as above. Any ideas?? System is new ftp installed 9.2 and EXTRA_PROV is from suse.com/path/to/E.. copied to local server. Could this be the source of the error? A different version? But this file is only an inventory..no? regards /ch
