I think you mean what appears to be (in) "Start-->Switch User" where Start is that green button at the utmost left of the taskbar (BTW in SuSE 9.2, before 9.2 it has been called different, if I remember right). Don't you?

Yes! Jolly useful, hadn't thought to try it. It automatically launches a new kde session on a new xserver you can reach with ctrl-alt-f8. Cool. Thanks Martin You can also launch a Gnome desktop. While teaching Linux on the Desktop, I routinely ran both a KDE and Gnome desktop.
