Hello to all
I have a disk with reiserfs, and now I have got som badblocks, I wunder about i would bee possiple to fix the disk so mutch that I can get some of the data out?
When I mount the disk on /baddisk, and I make an ls I get som files with permission denyed, and then som files come out. There is one single file I have to get out, and I want to try before the laboratory. *SS*
So if any have some good ideas I like to know.

Sory to tell that the session with dd run for about 5 houers, and get 319 MB and went dead now, and tould me more than 3000 bad blocks, there is a way to 210 GB, so I am afraid it is not possiple to get the file out this way. Anyway thanks for all you respons.
I wouldn't give up so easily. Did you try out dd_rescue? When it encounters an error it will jump to a different block after the bad one and search in both directions, i.e., forward and backwards until it hits another barrier, then jump again. This way you can basically recover all the good blocks on your disk and isolate the bad ones. You can set it to run for days, and it will after recovering all the good blocks try to do its best to work on the bad blocks as well. About half a year ago I had a 250GB Maxtor drive go bad on me and I was able to recover about 99% of my stuff despite the bad blocks being distributed wildly over the latter 1/3rd of the drive. Best regards, Alex.
