I have a dell notebook with 2 nic cards. One is a standard card, attached by rj45 cable and the other one is a wireless card. I have both cards set up for dbcp. Each card works just fine by it's self. But if I configure both to run then I don't get any internet connection, i.e unknow host on pings. I get an ip address for each nic from the dhcp server. I have put the "DHCLIENT_PRIMARY_DEVICE =yes' in the ifcfg of each adapter per suse's instructions from the support database. The route command looks strange. Why two gateways(UG)?, and the route command take several minutes to run. Turn off one of the nic and everything runs well. I guess I could just configure the wireless each time I need it, but KWiFiManger doesn't seem to save it's setting so I have to go to Yast each time. Any work around or quick way to turn the wireless on and off....thanks...joe
What model of Dell do you have? I am running an Inspiron 1150 with both nics set up and I let Knemo do the deed. Turns it into a no brainer. Whichever is connected will fire up and be used. Of course the wired one takes precedence. If no wire then the wireless takes over.
Nice, with little monitors in the bottom button bar to show a connection. RA
