to connect to mysql i get the following error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function mysql_connect()
Why is this happening and how do i fix it?
My php script is correct i double checked.
Have you enabled the php_mysql extension on the php.ini file? Starting from PHP5 the mysql extension does not come bundled, so you have to add it to the configuration.
I think also that's better to install php5 not from rpms but directly compiling it, cause the prms versions sometimes are not complete.
Check out if php_mysql extension is enabled, and of course if you have that file somewhere.
