I have created LDAP users and LDAP groups via YaST under 9.1 on a very simple OpenLDAP server configuration. I can log-in on a newly created LDAP user, but only the default group of a user is recognized - i.e. if try to assign a file group ownership to another LDAP group I get 'operation not permitted' reported in the shell. OpenLDAP slapd.conf: suffix "dc=example,dc=com" rootdn "cn=nanager,dc=example,dc=com" LDAP client YaST: not enabled LDAP TLS/SSL LDAP Base DN: dc=example,dc=com Configuration Base DN: ou=ldapconfig,dc=example,dc=com Administrator DN: cn=manager,dc=example,dc=com User and Groups under advanced setting ... enabled File server (xxx) enabled LDAP users to log in Please can somebody give me a hint?
